Between 2002 and 2009, the author established a robust research portfolio with multiple original articles published in The Journal of Bangladesh Orthopaedic Society, reflecting extensive clinical experience at the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (NITOR). This body of work focuses heavily on advanced orthopedic trauma and reconstruction, featuring significant studies on the management of non-union tibial fractures using the Ilizarov technique and the treatment of comminuted long bone fractures with intramedullary interlocking nails. Beyond fracture management, the publications address complex soft tissue reconstruction through various flap techniques, including the Sural Island fasciocutaneous flap, while also documenting early institutional experiences with major joint procedures such as Total Hip Replacement (THR) and Judet’s quadriceps plasty for stiff knees.
