Prof. Dr. Md. Abdul Gani Mollah is a distinguished orthopedic surgeon and the retired Director and Professor of the National Institute of Traumatology & Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (NITOR) in Dhaka. Born in 1958, he completed his MBBS in 1985, obtained a Diploma in Orthopaedics in 1999, and earned a Ph.D. from Edward University, USA, in 2004.
His extensive professional journey at NITOR began in 1994, where he rose from Assistant Registrar to Professor, eventually serving as Director from March 2017 to June 2023. He is a former president of the Bangladesh Orthopaedic Society and maintains international affiliations with organizations such as the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and the Asia Pacific Orthopaedic Association (APOA). Additionally, he has completed specialised training in the USA, UK, and India.

He is one of the key persons to make a memorandum of Royal college of surgeon, Birmingham.
He is one of the corresponding persons between Bangladesh orthopedic society (BOS) and EFORT (European Federation of Orthopaedics and Traumatology)
Since formation ASAMI Bangladesh Chapter he is the Secretary General.
